Only difference is I'm home instead of back at school.

All that Thanksgiving stuff on TV is getting really annoying now, especially the news.

So all those homeless people for one day out of the year get to eat indoors instead, whoopee. Let's just forget about them the other 300+ days of the year..

Even those sitcoms are showing nothing but Thanksgiving theme related episodes, where that one day of the year they not a bunch of selfish pricks who don't care about something other than themselves.

This media coverage demonstrates that people do help each other once in awhile, and also may serve to inspire some people to help more often than just once a year.

If it bothers you so much, do something about it. There are plenty of places that accept donations of cash or food, and even more places that need volunteers to help feed people, teach, or just be friends with someone. Put your money where your mouth is.
