So far my new internet service sucks..

i was just hooked up with T6Broadband.com oh 2 weeks ago. so far it has been very bad.

between getting crappy download speed (can;t break 30k/sec on anything) it goes out for like 3-10 min every hour or so.

soo i call the heldesk to see if they can get it fixed. i sit on hold to talk to a tech for 10 min. i get on line the guy gets my name, phone number and the problem then says he has to take other calls but he will put me in a que and call me back later! WTF i have NEVER had that happen before!

What made you go with them? Only broadband available?

yeah its either t hem or satalite. though so far i think satalite is better. but both suck pretty much.

im just pissed i sat on hold for 10 to be told they will call me back. wish i had known they suck i would have stayed with directway.

Similar here. I am constructing a 30 foot tower to see if connectivity stabilizes.

im not sure something like that would help. I am literly 200-300yards away from the tower. I should be getting a strong signal.

Woa, obviously something else wrong. I have seen the service work fine so hang in there.

I'm at the very end of range and trees are in the way which is why I need the tower.

yeah something else is wrong. though the towers (2 of them) were put up 3 weeks ago. they may not have it setup right yet. when it works it works great. just wish it was more reliable.

Same here. It runs at 2 meg when it's working.

finally got a call back. the guy had me dleete teh cache reboot the machine and modem, then run speed test.

he said it seems to be working fine. i then explain again yes it works fine for an hour or so then it dies for like 10 minutes. he asked me what i wanted them to do then. At this point igot pissed off.

i said that i would like them to fix the service i am paying for. the service should not be fine for a short period then die on me or give me speeds like i was on a mdoem. IF i wanted crappy service i would have stuck with teh satalite system i had.

he said he would refer me to the level 2 techs and they would call back latter. sigh

Check out wild blue satellite, I've had it for about 8 months and it works great.
