I like to check out my local paper online when I get home from work..like any normal person. What do I see? A friggin' spoiler on the front page of a show I'm following.

This is the 2nd week now they have done this. Kind of hard to get excited now to watch Masterchef Canada when they show the picture of the dude/gal that was eliminated this week.

Not everyone watches the damn show when it airs. so pissed off right now.

That's actually very annoying. I agree with you. You should write a letter explaining how moronic it is to do something like that.

I let the paper know in the comments section. Only way I'll find out if they listened if I check it out again next tuesday the day after the episode. I'll probably flip my lid again I bet.

The bigger question is why in the world is a result from a reality tv show newspaper worthy to begin with?

I was googling to see when the next season of Walking Dead starts. One of the first results had spoilers in it. I managed to avoid it, but yeah I agree they should not do this.

My local paper the Toronto Sun is kind of trashy but the articles have pretty good comments sections on them.

I did the same thing when a major publication spoiled the HIMYM finale. They deleted my comment, fuckers.

You read Toronto Sun. I think I found the problem :whiste:

the worst part of all this. I skipped over the Mass stabbing of 5 university students in Calgary. WTF is going on in my country? I feel like a complete dick crying about spoilers when the city I grew up in had 5 university students stabbed to death last night at a house party.

First to break the news gets the Google rank...

I, personally, don't care. More interested in how it happens than what happens. It appears I am in the very small minority though.

And because someone will misread that and get butt-hurt, no, I'm not saying you're an idiot for wanting to not be spoiled.

I guess I'm not normal because I rarely look at the hometown newspaper, and is due precisely because they no longer focus on news.

You don't pay to read their website to you. What a load of bollocks that was.
I used to subscribe to them until they broke one of my solar lights and failed to deliver the paper for a month straight. Just filled with rubbish, yet it's still a more intelligent paper than the Star. Of course that's like comparing Forest Gump to Lloyd & Harry. :D
