So did your co-workers decide that the workplace is also daycare?

WTFBBQ! all the kids are running around and yelling, parents are saying nothing about it. They're chasing each other, throwing toys around...This is redonkulous, for petes sake respect your co-workers!

why does that not surprise me...
i am frazzled when my aunt (my boss) brings her son, my godson in the office and he is pretty good most of the time.

good luck. :|

I wouldn't bring my son into the office unless the owners told me to (which they have before because they refused to let me take the day off to watch him)

Now and then, pple will bring their kids in here. But they stay in the conference/lunch room and play amongs themselves. So it doesn't really bother me. It would though, if they were left running around. Kids should be well mannered and disciplined.

There are barely any workers here today.....i'm wondering why i'm here =/

i haven't done a damn thing all day except eat, read this forum, and joke around with some other employees

Wives don't let their kids come where I work, it's entirely too dangerous.
If my wife actually knew what I do for a living, she probably wouldn't let me go to work either.

Fortunately my current place has no kids, or they're in their 20's. My last job, every Christmas, New Year's, etc. it became a friggin' Chucky Cheese. Some asshat took their kid into the server room with a Hi-C or something and the kid dumped it (fortunately just on the floor). One of the kids ran into the President's office and threw a tantrum because the President wouldn't give her a hug - while she was on the phone. Not surprisingly, all the rugrats were carted into a conference room after that.

You work for a family business? :Q Danger Will Robinson!

Hooray for lousy parenting! Not for bringing the kids in one day, that's all good, but for letting them run around like that. Kids will be kids and all, but they also need to be taught when to behave (like when visiting mommy or daddy's workplace!).

That was someone in our IT group that let her kid in. She was the first to go when we had 'restructuring' a month later.

I have to bring my kids to work sometimes. Then again, we arent a big huge business, and my boss set aside a small extra cubby adjacent to me for the playpen and kids entertainment.

When I interned this summer, there was a bring your kids to work day..it was fun, we didn't do much work at all that day 🙂 Got to play with RC cars and stuff
