Actually no... I had another username here that has since vanished. It was related to this username, but most people won't be able to make the distinction, unless they are a classic car nut.
How is that statement that bad? It seems fairly accurate to me. Most administrators (in an effort to make themselves look good or in an effort to make the students feel better about themselves) have begun to respect effort over achievement... ie: I get an A on a test without studying, and Joe gets a C on the test and busted his butt for it. Joe would be looked upon more highly, and the class would be "dumbed down" as to enable Joe to get an A "because he worked sooo hard." Meanwhile I would be short changed. At least this is how I interpret the comments that my 11, 12, and 14 year old siblings (adopted) relay to me, and what I observed when I was in public school.
(the use of names in this story is totally random, and this is not necessarilly indicative of how it actually was for me in school).
