Ok, I will toss this tentative plan out...
Feb 2nd, a Sat. We will be going to XP, which is a paintball place. They are running a promotion for groups that allow rental of EVERYTHING for one hour for $10 a person. Then we can have a grill at my house afterwards, you can meet my dogs and we can sit around and play games, talk whatever. (keep in mind I only have an old ps one with old games). As far as food is concerned, if we grilled (and yes, riverside is a little ghetto... but hey I call it home) we could prolly do it for about 5-8 bucks a person. SO for les then $20 bucks, you can meet all these other AT'ers and who knows, have some fun.
 
And can we please find a ride for poor VirusDub? UCLA is like only an hour form here.... C'mon help a guy out...

I drive to Fry's in about 35 min, so while it is a little longer to Cerritos, it isn't by much.

The promo card says that $10 bucks is good for an hour for everything per person.

and no there is no conspiracy against anyone...

While I wasn't able to attend the last meeting, I sure hope I can check this one out!

Croton, I live right near ya in Bellflower (very close to the 605/91 jct.). More specifically, and to give you a better idea of where I'd be coming from, I live near Woodruff/Alondra & Bellflower High. I can definitely accomodate you, and any computer equipment for a possible LAN session. With any luck, we might be arriving in a Jag, even---and no, not because of a five-finger/cold-steel discount. 😉 😀

I have friends in the I.E., two in Corona, and one who's held a LAN party at his place in Hesperia, so a trip there to meet some of you cool fellas/gal(s) (hehe) would surely be no prob. Barring any significant unforeseen event, I'd say have me (and Croton?) down as being there. 🙂

EDIT: BTW, I'd be a total newb at paintball, but it still sounds like it'd be fun. Grilling? That's gotta be a given, comon! I'd definitely be down for some LAN gaming as well. 🙂

Oh, and if VDub is willing to pay for gas (from Bellflower-to-UCLA? & back) in either of the three cars I'm lately to take (Elantra if it gets fixed-up quick, current very-beaterish Caravan, or slick 91-octane-consuming Jag), I'd most likely consider giving him a ride to the meeting as well if no one else can be decent enough to help an AT-er out.

ya - -i hate it when you're hanging w/your friends.....and then no one volunteers to drive because they are lazy asses..

i get to drive all the time because i am not a drinker.......so i get to be DD! which is good because i know my friends are safe, but bad because i have to dealw/drunk asses.

 
picking virusdub isnt a problemf for me.. he is like 30 - 40 minutes away.
Since i am most probably taking johnlee with me too... that shouldnt be a problem.

as for paint balling.. do i have to wear old clothes.. i have never done paint balling.. what do I wear.. do i carry a change of clothes?
 
Sweetness. You rule, dude. But what all do I bring? I've never been paintballing. Also are we gonna do the lan party?
