I'm in Torrance - about 50 miles from S. Berdo and everything here is covered with ashes. I talked to a guy in Port Hueneme yesterday and he said it was covered out there too.

I'm in Ventura and there's just a little bit of ash here. The wind coming off the ocean keeps most of it away. There was quite a bit more at my parents house in Camarillo yesterday.

I am pretty close to Rancho Cucamonga. right where the 57 intersects with the 60. Don't see any ashes on my car since it's in the garage.. but the neighbor's car does have a thin layer of ashes. I can smell the smoke just stepping out of the door.

Escondido here, about 8 miles away from two of the four fires. As you can guess it is raining a lot of ash here right now.

Losts of ash in San Dimas, really close to the fire now, but not really noticeably worse than in Irvine, which is 30 miles south. Strange

Torrance.
So much ash and the air smells worse than it does sitting next to a guy smoking.
IT NEEDS TO RAIN RIGHT NOW.

Holla! I'm from Escondido and my car was covered with a thin layer of ash. And there's smoke all around the city, to the north, to the east, to the south, the west....

You guys think its bad enough to require me to close the windows and turn on the AC?

And yes I have to turn on the AC, unless I feel like boiling in the afternoon.

I'm at the 57/60 intersection also.

Damn, and I need to walk the dogs, but I did it yesterday and the smoke was hurting my lungs.
