I've made posts on other PHPBB boards that were eventually pruned. I tried to find them with the Internet Archive...but they're gone forever.

If you believe the theoretical physicists, every single thing that happens in the universe gets recorded perfectly at the edge of the universe for eternity - no information ever gets lost. So...yes.
This isn't true. According to thermodynamics the entropy of the universe will always increase, resulting in a constant loss if information. When entropy is maxed out the universe will contain no information, it will just be a flat, evenly dense space.

It will exist as long as we don't destroy ourselves in some overly dramatic fashion. Like Nuclear War or Fundamentalist Religion/Movement systematically destroying technology. Many a future Historian will draw many interesting conclusions about various interesting things. Some of us may even get mentioned/quoted. Hopefully we'll all be dead before then. :D

Wow - account police as well as accuracy police. Busy, busy.

And I don't feel a need to "clear it up". Not a great mystery.

EDIT: Do you really not have anything better to do than a) correct other people just for the sake of feeling superior and b) keep picking at something when it's obviously catty snide drivel?

Oh, and let me insert a smiley face here, because that makes it ALL better....
Sorry, now you've bored me.
Post once more so you can get the last post. ;)

Nah, my Grandkids will have super powers.

Surprisingly not far from the truth, if things go well technologically. There is also a slim chance you will be alive to know them and have the same superpowers.

By the way, would you want them?

But if anyone can find that thread where I called Gatsby a i love you, I will kiss them and hug them and maybe even send 5 dollars Paypal, if I can remember my logon info.
I saved the thread as a folder but of course it doesnt work right cuz all the links are bad.

I must say, to think about it in a different light, it is quite strange that we now have entire civilizations living in a time where the majority of our meaningless drivel that is daily conversation, is now actually being recorded, though we are in agreement with that knowledge (whether we accept that or not). So... what used to be general shootin' the shit, has now become information that can harm your future career goals.
Wonderful, isn't it?

I think it's a very interesting topic.

I had about 5k posts at the PC Gamer US forums and then they nuked the entire forum. All that time wasted and nothing to show for it... feels really bad man.

I actually started posting here because I got perma-banned over there D:

Not at all, it was just a suggestion that my grandchildren wont be beaten up, because of their super powers.

Fair enough, but they will have them and it will be a good thing. I mean who would want laser vision or super strength or the ability do read minds?

Good. :p

Side note: If we properly documented daily life, we would make the future more efficient, as we would no longer require historians. ;)

Forever, I doubt it. Can't find my early post from Jan 2000. Forums will come and fade away , ATOT is not the same anymore.
