I liked how the audience flinched when the gas can looked like it was coming out of the screen.

Special effects and cinematography were amazing. The story was predictable and pretty aweful. Plus it was so preachy... Don't even get me started on the soundtrack.

the soundtrack could have been a ton better, i agree. they spent so much money on everything else that the soundtrack was at the bottom of the list of things to worry about. i can't say i disagree.

the story was predictable, but i didn't mind at all. it was supposed to be predictable.

That foliage kept getting in the way! I couldn't brush it to the side, and I expected I could.

They have promised me this! Where is this movie as an experience feature??!!!!

I was entertained for all 3 hours of it. I don't care that the plot was thin or predictable. The story moved along very well and the visuals were amazing.

I tend not to go to movies for the purpose of contemplating deep messages, though. Wasn't it Eddie Murphy that said he was just going to keep making stupid movies because people came to see them, despite the critics panning him? I think I'm in that camp. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go watch Spinal Tap, all of the Die Hards, Lethal Weapons, and a few Farley movies.
