May be a repost of a repost but he's fucking right though. Pisses me off to. Once again the irresponsible are protected and bailed out of their mistake by taxpayers.

Hey call all the responsible home owners that have had their own property value plummet because they're surrounded by foreclosed homes then talk to me about how this is unfair to them to stabilize that.

Oh well house prices needed an adjustment. House prices will eventually go back up after this correction. Hell my 401k plummeted does that mean the government should bail me out? These bail outs are horrible and reward bad behavior. People wonder why society is so fucked up these days. We reward bad behavior and punish those who do the right thing.

good point... my home value lost approx. 15% and my 401k lost more than 40%... so where's my bailout yo!?!?

I'm kidding.

FUCK the viral bailouts and every jackass who supports them.

So, you are jealous of these people getting help in a bad situation. What a petty little (human being???) you are.

Well I am jealous. Who knew in 2003 I could have bought a $600,000 house. Stupid me settled on one that cost $134,000. I could have gptten a 40 year adjustable rate balloon 80/15/5 mortgage or something like that.

No matter, I just bought a new 2009 Porsche for commuting and a 2009 Hummer to drive around town on the weekends. I can afford it if I do not pay my mortgage. But hey, there is more taxpayer money where that came from... and Obama will fix my terms so I can now make payments. It is gonna be sweet driving my new porsche back and forth to work everyday.

They are offering 40yr fixed rate mortgages and forced writedowns to banks who made the bad loans. You say you have a house, then you should know about amortization schedules and how much these people will end up paying for these houses in the long run w/ all that extra compound interest. They are absolutely going to get fucked in the long run as they should, but it makes perfect sense for the govt to provide the means to get these mortgages written amidst the frozen credit markets and begin to stabilize housing. You are not "lucky" to get a 40yr mortgage over a 30 yr.

I don't understand this puritanical economic nihilism coming from the conservatives all of a sudden. Its spiteful and self-destructive. Fine, be angry about the situation, punish these guys w/ stupid home loans, and destroy the property values and economic situation of everyone around them as collateral damage. There are plenty of people who played it smart and are getting screwed in this too. What about someone who got a job transfer and had to move in the last 3 yrs, bought a reasonable home for their income, only to see their housing value grenade and be on the hook for countless thousands of dollars? Does vengeance make it all better then? WTF is your plan then, other than apocalyptic martyrdom?

I suggest that people who have bought too much house they can afford and are walking away to have 20% of their wages garnished until death, including social security and whatever benefits they get.

Give people incentive to NOT walk away from their mortgages (tax deduction maybe?) and punish those who do walk away.

LIFE ISNT FAIR. grow some.

asinine and idiotic statement.... you probably go around saying, its the best we got and its always been that way..

No I dont. Show me some course of action based in reality that will get us out of this current situation? This is a bitter pill to be swallowed by all. Sorry you don't like that but life isn't fair. I find it funny you are just learning that. You make a statement as though I'm passive about my situation. I'm not. I played "hungry hungry hippos" growing up and it has trained me well :)

I've already made my proposal on how to make this 'fair'. The responsible ones get to move into the bailout homes and the people who are living in houses requiring the bailout get to move into the crappier homes the responsible people bought. Economy saved. Fairness restored. No hating of selves required.
