Curries and such are 10x smellier than normal food. Popcorn is 100x smellier. I don't know why, but popcorn has a piercing smell.

Well we always had a ban on popcorn, now there is also a ban on microwaving sea food. Sucks I was starting to bring my lunch and I love shrimp and fish.

Maybe if I microwave it in an airtight container they won't notice it.

underpowered and microwaves that loose their power burn popcorn rather than poppin it. And yes, it sucks.
It can be remedied by getting real microwaves with the 3.5oz popcorn button.
