So apparently people don't like it when you microwave shrimp at work.

Think about what you put in a public/work microwave BEFORE you heat your food. If there is any chance that the odors given off from your food (as it is heating) might offend ... it most likely will.

My secretary has been on my case the last week about rude, inconsiderate fools using our division's microwave. What the (fill in the blank) an I supposed to do about people using our unit when the signs clearly state "DO NOT COOK FOOD THAT MAY GIVE OFF OFFENDING ODORS!" ... post a guard?

Most people are rude, inconsiderate (you fill in the rest).

Here's a tip - if your food leaves a strong smell when you cook it, you're probably bothering someone. Be considerate of your coworkers.

Fried squid, you don't need a microwave, that will stink on its own. Had a Vietnamese co-worker leave those in a locked drawer. Had to break into it to get rid of them.

Being Easy-E is your avatar now, we all see how you held your own with two dudes attacking you.

How long was it before you could sit?

You straight gangsta, brah!

Nah brah gangsta's use guns. I grew up in a little hick town in the country. When you had a problem with someone you squared up and took care of it then and there. It was one on one using your hands. There was numerous times you'd shake hands with the person a couple days later. I'm the furthest thing from gangsta.
I mainly have the eazy E avatar just to piss off racist hicks and also eazy E was pretty cool.

You can do better. Infinitely cooler, exponentially more musical, and hated whitey...

No not really. I'm really not like that anymore. What makes someone a tough guy? Fights? Well I started getting into fist fights in first grade and Ive Been in more fist fights than I can remember. Went to a Texas prison and even had guys giving me props for holding my own against two dudes that attacked me. Physical jobs? Been there done that and continue to do it. Being physically strong and athletic? Work out all the time and I have no problem holding my own playing pickup basketball games with the guys that show up to the park.
If that makes you a tough guy than I guess I qualify. I've really calmed down since my younger days. I wouldn't fight someone unless you messed with my family. I seriously wouldn't fight someone over a comment at work. Someone could call me whatever they wanted and I would just walk away.
Now to me being a tough guy is about making an honest paycheck and supporting my family.

Tough guy or no tough guy I'm not taking any chances even on this side of the keyboard. You can eat whatever you please, sir.

I brought shrimp fried rice to work today and microwaved it. Got a lot of complaints from my coworkers. I learned people don't like others microwaving shrimp.

We must work in the same office. Someone microwaved some kind of seafood at my workplace last week and the entire floor stunk for the rest of the day.

No one is allowed to microwave any seafood products at our office. The last two times someone did our HUGE office stunk for hours, it was terrible.

Putting shrimp into a microwave should be a terminate-able offense

Anything longer than 2 seconds and it turns to rubber.

Why even bother eating shrimp.

Good Shrimp demands to be butter poached.

pretty much any cooked meat, all the water instantly boils out of it. greasy ground beef holds up fine, but i would imagine fish and shrimp DO actually taste as bad as they smell out of the microwave.

I used to microwave fish at work all the time :(

I found that covering it with some lemon slices and only nuking it briefly didn't create any odors. you've just got to be ok with eating it on the cold side of lukewarm.
