anyway you look at it, it's a pretty impressive success story. I remember a friend telling me the age of Anand and being floored...

You mean like this?

And let's not forget Cha Ka, who aided Anand with prehistoric strength and made Anand smile with his comcial ways.
Yup, those early days were tough but they did it together...

It's easy to get hardware manufacturers to send you hardware to review, you just don't tell them you're 15. Of course, you have to be established before they'll send you anything, so he probably reviewed his/his friends' hardware or software in the beginning.

When he started out, he reviewed things he bought. As the site gained popularity, companies started sending stuff.

Um, so wouldn't it be Uh-Nond-Tech?

I say it An-And-Tech, even though I know it should be A-nond.

Yeah it was just him.

I used to work at 2 review sites.. and it's not that hard.

Step 1: Review your own hardware
Step 2: Talk to people that know someone (retail store, or hardware/software company)
Step 3: Go to conferences and stuff

sooner or later you get contacts that will send you stuff in exchange for advertising and stuff
