So..about those VB message boards

Why are keyboard cable ends purple and mouse cable ends green? Why those two colors? Why weren't mice purple and keyboards green? What's the deal?

It should be auto-perma if you reach a certain low.....

Alright everyone, please pay attention to this post as I don't want to have to keep posting this in all the other threads.

I just got word from the higher ups that the vBulletin switch is delayed until early April. Due to a technical glitch beyond the programmers control, the switch had to be delayed. Anandtech workers are working around the clock to get this switch underway, as they are excited about the new possibilities and challenges this switch will bring to the forums, as well as the community they serve. If the programmers keep up their hard work and diligence, we should expect the switch to come full circle by April 1st.

Thank you for your understanding and patience. Reminder: YOU MUST HAVE A VALID EMAIL ADDRESS IN YOUR PROFILE WHEN THEY MAKE THE SWITCH.

Apparently there is a downside to using bold text as the primary way to indicate "official" comments from mods. Who would have thought?

I thought we were supposed to switch to vb before end of the year, did the plans get changed?

It will be by the end of the year. Not the end of last year or even necessarily the end of this year. Just the end of some year.

Can a mod confirm this? It's coming from a regular account post so not sure if it's an edit or a quote from another mod.

I'm curious about the vb switch as well and looking forward to it.

edit: NM just noticed n7's post.

Kinda figured it was made up.

My mistake was going with the assumption that people actually read the bolded text as well.
