We are about to witness a hell of a lot of on the job training.
Not only with Trump himself, but with everyone under him and around him.
So I guess this is what the people wanted? I guess...
The people will be getting exactly what they voted for.
So called outsiders with absolutely no experience. Basically, your average crap shoot.
Making decisions on the economy and hoping/praying they stick.
Making decisions with national security and hoping/praying they won't give Putin, China, ISIS an open door.

Come on people....
You know exactly how this is going to go.
China screwing us even more, Putin aggressively taking still more territory because Putin will soon realize Trump and his people are totally clueless, and ISIS attacking deep within the US not only the lone wolf attack, but well planned and orchestrated ISIS attacks, all deep within US borders.
Hell, I can envision a brand new resurgence of Al Qaeda happening under Trump.
Add that to the can of worms including, Al Qaeda resurgence and ISIS then add in there China plus a generous does of Putin.
WWIII anyone?

Why do people have this completely screwy idea that no experience is preferable to experience?
Would you want heart surgery done by an auto mechanic as the doctor, and some McDonalds grill cook as the nurse, and a cab driver as the anesthesiologist?
Apparently millions of Americans do.....

Under Trump the economy will once again lose millions of jobs, stocks will crash, we will see unpaid tax cuts for the rich, the national debt completely out of control, and the entire country brought to the brink of still another great depression.

And to distract and deflect from the wrath of US citizenry outraged by Trump's failures, Trump's stupidity, and Trump's gross mismanagement of government, the republicans will once again do the one and only thing they are so good at doing...
Go after abortion.
Go after marriage.
Go after voting rights.
Go after illegals.
Go after the environment.
Go after religion.

And THAT will be the entire Donald Trump administration in a bucket.
Gross failed polices, attacking our social core.
Enjoy!
You wanted this... you got it.

We have an morally bankrupt president in waiting, why not have a SOS that endorses torture reporting to him?

You're confused, illary lost the election, she's not in waiting for anything other than to see if she's going to be prosecuted and sent to jail or not.

From the New York Times article... you just can't make this stuff up:

In one year — 2006 — Mr. Giuliani reported in a financial disclosure report that he had made 124 speeches, for as much as $200,000 each, and had earned a total of $11.4 million. He often made extravagant demands in return for agreeing to make a speech, including that the private plane that flew him to the engagement be a certain size.

In their world, a guy who did a lot of paid speeches as a private individual is a big "red flag", an indicator that he might not be suited to be secretary of state. Having the actual secretary of state do even more speeches for even more money and take lots of "donations" from foreign countries in return for access and favors? No problem. NYT, the paper of record :D And people wonder why the media has no credibility left.....

Don't like Giuliani for anything, really. He banned pet ferrets in NYC because, I guess he got bored, and decided to micromanage.

Don't need a control freak like that anywhere in gov't.

Trump supports torture so why not?

Oh I'm not surprised a morally challenged person fails to see those flaws in others.

You're confused, illary lost the election, she's not in waiting for anything other than to see if she's going to be prosecuted and sent to jail or not.

Irrelevant to my point.

But don't hold your breath on your Hillary fantasy, unless of course the golden one decides it is ok to jail your political opponents because they dared challenge you.

I never liked him but I do understand where he's coming from. He's a purebred American exceptionalist. His message to other world leaders was simply, "Yes, we are special. If you don't like it, get off your complacent asses and lead. Otherwise, sit down, shut up, and let the driver drive."

He was also a war mongering prick, hence the reason I don't like him.
His solution to everything is "let's bomb the shit out of em".

Doesn't matter who Trump picks. If Trump asked Kerry to stay on, the left would suddenly hate Kerry.

It could also be that Giuliani is being floated so everyone screams about it and it will seem okay when some other, less known nut is appointed.

I know you like to believe that the "ebul left" is vindictive and cultish to the point that they attribute all ills of the world to their sworn enemy, and all associates, regardless of history, are suddenly an equal part of that swamp, but this simply isn't the case.

There are hyper partisans on both sides, but the left tends to be more open and patient and see how things play out first. Tends to, anyway. I know this will make you laugh, you will refuse to believe it, but this is because you can only understand the world from your own cultish black and white perspective. The fact is, much of the world and the people that inhabit it are far more conscientious than you can hope to be.

I agree that Trump has a very short leash, though. I often here "well, we should take him at his word!" ...which is exactly the issue. Taking him at his word throughout the campaign is a terrifying prospect for this republic.

Ya, kind of like how the left is waiting to see how Trump will be as president. No protests or anything going on, amiright?

of course! Every single leftist is out there on the streets protesting.

Heh, I guess it is the mentality to believe something like that which leads to the conservative delusion that they are some sort of majority in this country.

Hahaha, do you actually believe this? I'm looking for Rod Serling over here.

I've heard this statement a lot. It's silly. "It doesn't matter if Trump picks Ronald McDonald to be Secretary of State, because the left will complain anyway."

There are degrees of criticism, and there are degrees of how seriously that criticism should be taken.

Heard a rumor that Nikki Halley's name might be added to the list of possibles. Does she have any foreign chops? At least she's got a better temperament that either of the other choices.

Maybe...maybe this is true.

But you know the Republicans did that very thing for eight years. From the day Obama was elected any time he supported something they moved against it.

For eight years they did this dance, this hypocrisy, they were obstructionist to the highest possible degree. For all of that what has the American public done? Voted them out to get real statesmen in place that understand compromise? No, they control all of congress and soon the presidency.

Seems to me that blanket opposition to the "other side" is the correct means to the end of controlling everything. So maybe opposition to Kerry as SoS makes sense in the current America. Whats the worst that could happen? Fact checker calls you out? We are living in the era beyond facts, who cares.

Yeah it seems pretty fucking clear what the American people want as they keep voting for these idiots who try and break government at every level. Clearly if you want to get elected in this country you just need to say something stupid that feels good and then when in office do everything you can to make sure government is dysfunctional.
