It's funny, the left had no problem blaming Bush but when gas went up under Obama it was all due to speculation.

Please tell us what parts of the economy the President should get blame/credit for and which parts are out of his hands.

We want you to tell us in advance so that you can't continually shift your criteria.

Just pointing out your hypocrisy. Yes it is, and yet they do it anyways. Hell, people are doing it in this thread.

I showed you a video of people blaming Bush.

No, you showed a video of people talking about oil prices under bush, do you see the difference between that and people saying bush caused high oil prices? Or is this one of those semantic points that you can't be bothered about?

Let me help you:

1) Talking about gas prices under a president does not equal saying the president is the cause.
2) Talking about a presidents energy policy, good or bad, does not equal saying the president is the cause for the price of gas.

3) Saying the presidents policies have affected gas prices does mean they are blaming the president for the change in gas prices.
4) Saying the president has affected the price of gas is the same as blaming the president for the change in gas prices.

You video showed 1 and 2 any implying that you think was done was done on your own.

I get where you are coming from, the whole right wing media sphere is centered on implied connections. It's the foundation from which you are brainwashed, they merely water the seed that's already in your head;)

Good time to raise gas taxes. We need the money for infrastructure updates anyways, and inflation adjustment is long overdue.

No oil is being exported as it violates US law, only refined petroleum products can be/is being exported. If you have proof of such maybe you could link us to the site with said proof.

Seems to be in the process of changing

and the Republicans seem poised to move towards allowing the sale of unprocessed oil

Pelosi outright blamed it on Bush's failure to enact a comprehensive energy strategy. And why would you use when a president takes office to compare gas prices if you aren't blaming him?

Because it's a good point of reference. Do you know what year and what month bush was elected? I'd say many people have a good idea.

Sigh...as I pointed out to you, your video doesn't show what you think it shows, Pelosi complaining about bush's energy policy is not the same a blaming bush for higher gas prices.

Here, this is word for word.

Pelosi: "Drivers are paying a heavy price for the Bush administration's failure to enact a comprehensive energy strategy"

I don't know why you are having a hard time accepting the fact people blamed Bush for the high gas prices.

He will defend obscurity to avoid having to admit wrong.

This has been his MO throughout P&N: failure is not the same word as blame

He would probably rather have teeth pulled than to admit his party played politics with gas prices.

No, but thanks for asking.
