So about rap threads..

Probably because 95% of rap sucks. It's all the same, they all rap about the same stuff and have been for years. That's why people hate it. It's not the genre specifically, or the style of music, it's just EVERYBODY that uses the genre to promote hate.

None of my rap music promotes anything but love. I'll enjoy what I got and ignore the rest.

But have you listened to rock stations? Its ridiculous how un-melodic rock has become. Just screamin and yelling and railing on guitars.

One thing with rap, is that its really catchy.
 
It's hard to defend mainstream rap because there's nothing good to say about the rap culture or image they're trying to sell.

At least rap is good dancing music and has a beat, thats what I'm saying.

Rap helps people meet eachother, thats why its so popular, wtf is rock doing. Moving people apart.

It has everything to do with everything, have you listened to Linkin Park, The Killers or Nickelback? Its not just emo. All of that sh!t is just annoying and whiney.

I don't listen to any radio at all. All my music is previewed before I purchase it. I enjoy every CD I own, even the rock ones. I'll listen to anything good.

Never even heard about them. Most rock bands I've heard were about alcohol and women.
