Saw the first showing at 10:30am and the theatre was almost packed!

AWESOME movie! Great adaptation from the GRAPHIC NOVEL. :)

Also a great deal more boobies than I expected!

I don't go to that site anymore. IMDB seems to be a much better guide (that said, movies tend to have higher ratings when they first come out than they do a few weeks later)

i think that is crap, i loved the movie
also people forgett his is based on frank millars comic/graphic novel. they filmed it and made it look just like the graphic novel so if anything hate the book not the movie

I saw it last night.
Simply amazing. I loved it. I can't wait to see it at home. The quality of our podunk movie theater is horrid, at best.

Did anybody think that a lot of the scenes were totally pointless?

For example, that sex scene with Leonidas and the Queen. WTF...that didn't really contribute much to the plot.

Bi-sexuality was common and probably more accepted than it is today, in ancient Greece. Sometimes there were more intimate relations with a man's best friend than his wife.

For everybody's info, real Greeks didn't fight naked, and their superior armor was a large part of what allowed the Spartans to hold out for so long.
Oh, they also actually held rank rather than breaking form at every opportunity like in the movie, but anyone expecting this movie to be historically accurate should have rethought that once they saw the ogres and other monsters. Really more lord of the rings with naked men than anything else. Definite chick flick, but a tom boy chick flick.

Awesome movie!!! I don't know what the critics were smoking, but great action.

I don't think it was really fit for IMAX, a normal theatre screen would have been ok.

Great movie doooooood. I just saw it on IMAX. Cinematography was incredible; it was like a 2 hour long moving photograph.

You are right about the armor, and tactics, but this was written by Frank Miller. He's known for comic books namely Sin City, and some very dark versions of Batman.
