🙁

I recently installed a trial version of Powershadow but subsequently uninstalled it as i found no interest to it. However, i found that the said program install automatically a driver : " snpshot.sys " to all my harddisk. Two evil things come after :

1. My harddisks fail to transfer data to any USB media such as external harddisk or USB fingers ;

2. All my harddisks have been regarded as movable hardware .

I try to delete the file " snpshot.sys " directly from C:\Windows\system32\driver " , but i can't bootup my PC anymore .

anyone can help ?

Thanks in advance !

"I try to delete the file " snpshot.sys " directly from C:\Windows\system32\driver " , but i can't bootup my PC anymore " - L O L !

Get hold of a copy of that file, boot into a DOS environment and copy back. Then look for a solution to the problem.

Actually...Windows shouldn't have let you delete that file....hmmmmm

I doubt that it is a Windows protected file, because a Google came back with 1310 returns, and none on the first three pages were in English. He never said that he had deleted it, only tried. The only way that I know of to delete the file, since you can't boot up, is in the Recovery Console.

Thank you for your answer. I actually keep a image of my harddisk by using " GHOST " ; so i can recover the whole thing . I am much concern that how i can safely get rid of the unwanted driver : snpshot.sys ; any idea ?
