BERLIN - A German singer who plays Snow White has lost her job at Dresden's Christmas fair after posing for nude photos in a bathtub, Bild newspaper said on Monday.

Fair organizers fired Samira, 22, after photos appeared in Bild and other publications showing her lying naked in a bathtub filled with soap suds and rose petals.

Samira, whose surname was not given, has played Snow White for five years. Dresden's mayor and others who miss her performance are asking that she be reinstated.

THE seven dwarfs are threatening to strike at a Christmas market in Germany after Snow White was sacked for posing naked.

Model Samira, 22, has played the part of Snow White for the past five years at the Christmas market in Dresden.
Her long black hair, pale skin and beautiful red lips made her a favourite.

But after appearing in some saucy snaps in the newspaper Bild, she was banished by the organisers.

For those who don't know what the Christmas thing is (ripped from Google), it's a 570 year old Christmas tradition:

Germany's oldest Christmas market, established in 1434, fills the beautiful Altstadt of Dresden.
The Striezelmarkt is special not only because of Dresden's beauty, but also because the city lies close to the rural areas where German Christmas craft items have traditionally been made. Ceramics from Upper Lusatia in the country's southeast corner are one such local speciality, but the best-known are surely the wooden toys and nutcrackers from the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) on the Czech border. For a special taste treat, try the Pfefferkuchen ("pepper pastries", or spice cakes) from Pulsnitz.

The Stollen Festival on 6 December is one of the highlights of the season for visitors and locals alike. The city's bakers prepare a 3500kg (7700lb) Christstollen - a cylindrical yeasty fruitcake topped with powdered sugar. A horse-drawn wagon parades the giant pastry through the streets from the Zwinger palace to the Striezelmarkt. At the Striezelmarkt the mayor cuts the cake with a large ceremonial knife and visitors can buy a piece to eat themselves.

My opinion? They do whatever they want with their employees... fire them, give them raises, etc., but it was pretty stupid to fire the actress who everyone loves to see. Especially when she gets even more publicity why posing nude. Bad PR stunt by firing her.
