If you can, go this weekend. They got five feet of snow last week and more on the way. They still haven't cleared the mess yet either.
 
Yeah, hence it will be a total clusterfuck this weekend.

Roads are so bad right now there's gas shortages since trucks haven't been able to make it up there to replenish supplies. And currently, the area is closed to the public. Only residents are being allowed up.
 
Its nuts up there now, friends of mine tried going sat. and sat in traffic for 4 hours to be turned around because they sold out. I only go on week days tuesday-thursday, just ditch work and have a good time.
 
Good times! I learned to downhill ski nearby at the Goldmine (I think now called Bear Mountain, across from Snow Summit).
 
Yes this deal is great, Right now were expecting more snow, and ATM Its clear, but when it rains down in the valley, it snows up in the mountains, There is a BUNCH of snow up there ATM, and just the day after the mountains were completely white, most snow ive ever seen haahaha.


I live about a 30 minute drive from big bear, and sometimes we go to the tramway over there, and go 4 wheeling with modifed Jeeps.

I think I need to go up to our cabin in town and clear off the roof of the porch. It's 60 years old and has been leaking...
