I miss snow. Of course it doesn't snow much here in AL. When it does, it usually isn't more than a short flurry. I miss REAL snow.

We are getting it over here in CO as well. More than that though where I'm at.
It started snowing about 10AM this morning. It still hasn't stopped.
10AM? It started snowing where I am early last night.
Yup, I'm in northern CO. Usually it starts closer to the mountains first![]()

I lived in CA for a long time. Snowed twice in my life there. Always had to drive up to the mountains to see any. I like it here where we have 4 seasons.

I lived in the snow most of my life...grew up in western Mass. moved to Spokane when I was about 10, boomed construction all over the Rockies for about 7-8 years...then the company I worked for in Wyoming asked me to go to Kahleeforneeya for about 6 weeks...and haven't left...After 14 winters in Spokane, including 68/69 when they had the most snow on record, 1 winter in Ely Nevada at -25 for about a month, 2 winters in Colorado--1 in Grand Junction, 1 in Steamboat Springs, 2 winters in Big Piney Wyoming--The Icebox of the Nation--and 3 winters in northern Utah...we decided we'd had enough cold and snow...Now, if it gets to 30, it's FUCKING COLD!! and the only snow we've seen, (other than a bit of white stuff in the air, but never sticking to the ground) is 1 (and only one) trip up into the Sierra Nevada foothills to where they quit plowing the highway for the winter...on X-mas 1997...I don't miss it a bit...except perhaps for Christmas morning...

You may have snow, but you have to deal with the Cult of Mormons.

I like the cold. -25 is a but much though. But we don't see temps that cold here that often.
I absolutely hate the heat. Where I was in CA we would have 110° temps for a month at a time. I couldn't take it anymore.

Yeah, the heat does get to be a bit much sometimes...where did you live in Kahleeforneeya? (I'm in Modesto and it gets hot as hell here during the summer)
Then again, Living in the Salt Lick Valley, I remember it getting over 100 during the summer for at least a couple of weeks, Spokane had temps well over 100 as well, but in Wyoming, anything over 90 was a heat wave...and I remember having to scrape the frost off the truck windows during the summer...and it snowed 6" on July 4th...

I lived near Fresno. I doubt the climate is much different from Modesto. The whole valley is generally the same.

heh-heh...yes, hotter than hell in the summer, so foggy you can't see your hand in front of your face in the winter...

Move few hours west to SF Bay Area (Alameda, in particular).
Summer:
Day time = ~80s-90s
Evening/Night time = ~60s-70s
Winter:
Day Time = ~50-60s
Evening/Night Time = 40s-50s (occassional mid/low 30s once in a while)
Almost perfect excellent weather all-year round. Most of the houses dont even have A/C installed.

I laugh when people out here in CO think it's foggy.
