I thought you guys get buried in snow?

I would never drive without winter tires in the winter.

Yeah, MN tends to get a little snow. Which is why I questioned some guy from FL trying to talk like an expert about how EVERYBODY has separate summer and winter tires. Most people drive Camrys and Accords. Nobody switches tires on their damn FWD familymobile.

Just think of it as rotating the tires.

You guys do that, right? Rotate tires?

That's why you don't see it much. First time in the snow with Summer tires is usually the last time.

It was for me. :$

Rotate tires? I'm not sure what you're talking about, tires rotate millions of times. That's how wheels work.

:hmm:

Nobody runs summer tires on their familymobile. Summer tires are for high performance cars. The kind of car that people who actually live in places with lots of snow generally park for the winter while they drive the SUV through salted roads because they don't want their sweet summer ride to get eaten by rust.

I have had winter tires for my car since my first car.

What kind of cars?

02 Protege5, yes, FWD, but the snows helped a lot. Put 175k km on it before I got rid of it.

and

06 MB E350 4Matic. Yes, I drive it in the winter. In fact I drove it back to Toronto (with a friend) from Peoria, Il on Dec 26, 2008.
