Hey there's a bunch of us on the island... and yes we got quite a lot for our first time snowing this season (I think it's still going). People are driving fine by these parts... everywhere you go there's an SUV on the road... LOL. But nobody's being stupid about it... well maybe except for me... since I like to play with the 4WD. :D

EDIT>>> I just looked out the window. HOLY MARY MOTHER OF JESUS!

EDIT2>>> We hit Sears last night for a snowblower... all out of stock. My dad wouldn't share one with me earlier and I finally convinced him... the night of the big storm. :| A bit too late... thanks Dad.

You guys got off easy...here in Southern NH, we got about 6 inches last night, will get about 6 more today, and it is going to continue to snow all the way through about 1am-3am Monday morning. Our total accumulation is projected to be as high as two feet...possibly more. We are in a break between the two systems now, so it's just lightly snowing, but this afternoon through late Sunday is going to be crazy... Heavy snow with possible 45-60MPH winds...

Weather

Today. Snow. Accumulation 6 to 10 inches. Cold and brisk. Highs in the mid 20s. Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph.

Tonight. Snow. Additional accumulation 4 to 6 inches. Brisk. Lows 15 to 25. Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph.

Sunday. Snow. Heavy at times through early afternoon. Total accumulation. 14 to 22 inches. Cold and brisk. Highs in the lower 20s. North winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 45 mph.

Sunday night. Partly cloudy. A chance of snow until 3 am. Brisk. Lows in the upper teens. Chance of snow 30 percent.

I hate snow also. I live in Oceanside (Nassau County), and we got like 4-6 inches yesterday, and are in for the same today. This fvcking snow ruined my weekend. Also, like you said, some people don't know how to drive in the snow.

As a Native Californian now living in Boston seeing all this snow is weird for me. I definately do not have the wardrobe for it (boots, heavy Jacket, etc.) I guess I better go get that stuff so I won't be stuck in my house for the winter:)

It isn't that bad. I'm still wearing shorts and a sweatshirt. 23 degrees and 5-6 inches of snow on the ground. ;)

You've just got piss in your veins! :p

Try driving a V8 Mustang with fat, almost bald, Z-Rated Dunlops....now that's a challenge!

<--Can't wait to get the four Blizzaks sitting in the basement mounted so I can drive without fear of death... ;)

You picked the right time to come out Red... Last winter, up here just over the border, we had three storms that dumped 20"+, and this winter is looking to follow suit. I figure all the rain we had this year is going to translate into a active, snowy winter. However, the three or four years prior, the winters were mild without many significant storms...

Guess you are just lucky..;):p

Bwahaha. My car is a RWD Marauder, and I drove to school yesterday. It has the BF Goodrich G-Force KDWS tires. I really don't think they deserve the S in that K code. I'm in the process of convincing my parents I need real snow tires.

Were getting socked here in central NJ. It was below freezing for the passed 48 hours so that didn't help the road conditions any. My front wheel drive car helped me out, but it's days like this I wish I had a military issued hummar.
