Hey look at the bright side. Davesfarm will have lots of snow to play with.
LOL

we are expecting 100 cm of snow by Tuesday night.

It looks like I may be working tonight. Wonderful. I hope I can get to work in a reasonable time frame.

Once upon a time, then classmate of mine told me she could not make it to class because they couldn't get the tractor started to plow a way out D:

Here in North Idaho it cold and sunny today, with those hard piles of snow everywhere. We had most of our snow last week and the week before. One morning it was -9F and the wind was howling. All the schools shut down because they were afraid the kids would freeze at the bus stops.

🙂 I just put the chains on the tractor tires this weekend & bought a can of starter fluid to have on hand - just in case. If I'm snowed in, it'll be such a snow storm of epic proportions that it'll be referred to as a natural disaster.

I got my trusty shovel ready. It's made out of steel, so it shouldn't break like the last bunch of shovels I've owned.

Gonna take more snow than Northern IL has ever had in one storm to snow me in.

Of course the most snow I've ever seen in a 24 hour period in my lifetime is only like 2-3 feet, which really does not compare to upstate NY by ANY stretch of the imagination 🙂

lulz starter fluid method...

Yes....to the "most wonderful time of the year" people.......I have some choice obscenities in mind. 😛

On the plus side, it's nice to finally have snow tires.

My hometown according to weather.com

Past 24-hr:
Precip: 0.59 in (est.)
Snow: 10.9 in (est.)

Wind: 15-25mph with gusts up to 40mph...

dear god.

another 6-10" is expected tonight for the area...

Whining about a lousy foot and a half of snow? That's barely respectable if you grew up in Minnesota. 'Sotans' invented antenna balls, not for advertising but, for finding your car! Damn wimpy Canuckistanians!
BTW, it hit 80 here today. 🙂

Dang we got a bit outside now too. We had maybe an inch or two the past couple days but just today looks like 4-5" in the parking lot outside. I'll see how squirrely it is when I go out to get some food in a bit.

I'm hoping we don't get stupid amounts of snowfall this winter like we did last winter. Last winter was pretty brutal here.

At least I have a 4x4 truck now, instead of my Camaro for the winter, so I'll be able to drive around a bit easier.

update: I got pics!

This is the time of year when I have to check the forecast at least once a week. Yep, still highs in the mid-70s and sunny.

Right now Im in Milton just 20 km from Toronto, wow now even a flake on the ground its green and brown, so near and yet so different.

I opened the article to read about the snow, but they confused me with some sort of alien measurement: centimeters?
