I don't snore but occasionally I get stuck with a snorer. Usually I can ignore it but this past week I've been sandwiched between two women that both snore and I can't sleep.

Obviously there are breathe right strips and stuff like that so we'll try those but anyone know something odd that really works? Something the medical community would pass of as 'old wives tale'?
 
There is a connection between being obese and snoring. I don't think anyone wants to see these two ladies.
 
Haha.. the level of insecurity on this forum is off the charts. I think this gentleman was also boasting about his income..

People who are overweight have extra tissue in the back of their throat, which can fall down over the airway and block the flow of air into the lungs while they sleep.
Though losing weight is easier said than done, it can yield real results. If people lose weight, it would make both sleep apnea and other health problems [such as heart disease] go away. Losing just 10% of body weight can have a big effect on sleep apnea symptoms. In some cases, losing a significant amount of weight can even cure the condition.

Snoring can also be environmental. I'm fat, but am told that I usually don't snore... except in September-October-ish. 😵
 
I only snore when I cant breathe, literally. If I go out for a night and smoke a ton of cigars or cigarettes I snore that night. If I have allergies, I snore. If neither of those are true, then I don't make a peep.
 
They make a pillow that feels like it's full of golf balls, that worked for me. I have no idea why or how, maybe it was entirely placebo effect, but I stopped snoring the first night I slept on it. I think it's called "my pillow". Aside from the not so creative name, it does seem to work.

Grats on the two women setup, assuming one of them isn't your mom or sister.

Interesting. My daughter, who is 6, snores. She is anything but obese, fat, overweight.
I've been sandwiched between the two snorers. Usually around 05:00 when the little one decides it is cuddle time. That's when i get up and go watch a movie.
 
Wow, the general lack of maturity here always surprises me. When some of you grow up, you'll realize that you can't brag about sleeping with two women. It's extremely common among adults, it would be like bragging about being able to drive.

For the record, neither is overweight. They've gone home now so I only have the one non-nude photo I can share:

Of course, I cleared it with her first, duh. She said as long as it wasn't a nude shot, she didn't care.

Anyway, the pillow arrived today and it feels nice. I'll give it to the next girl that snores and see what happens.
