One morning it began to snow very hard and continued snowing steadily throughout the day. A snowplow set out at 8:00 A.M. to clear a road, clearing 2 mi by 11:00 A.M. and an additional mile by 1:00 P.M. At what time did it start snowing?
Was the snow falling at a constant rate from beginning to end? Was there any existing snow on the ground prior to the start of the snowfall?Also, what color was the snowplow? I like red!
I don't believe an answer is possible given the amount of information you provided. I believe at least one additional time/distance point is necessary in order to solve this one. Then again, I'm no math genius. Perhaps someone smarter than I will be able to provide a solution.
