She's not scheduled to be on until the 25th.

This was an already-scheduled week off for the SNL cast. I believe they are working on the same grueling schedule that Congress adheres to (take the whole summer offer, then work for a few weeks, then take some more time off).

I wonder if they can vote themselves raises too?
 
but they did the thursday one... I thought they were going to, I don't know, do two shows a week to keep up with all the material Palin was giving them.... dag.
 
sure, we all say it sucks.... then you get a night job on weekends and your tivo breaks down. you feel its absence poignantly.
