Word is at least one trade paper will reveal Wednesday morning that ?Saturday Night Live? mastermind Lorne Michaels has confirmed the departure of longtime cast members Horatio Sanz and Chris Parnell.

Sanz denied any knowledge of his exit less than a month ago.

UDATED!!

Variety's story about the ousters has indeed manifested.

Finesse Mitchell will also be gone. Longtime performer and head writer Seth Meyers looks likely to take over Tina Fey's Update chair:

Poehler will be back on the "Weekend Update" desk. There's no official word yet on who will co-anchor "Update" with her, but -- despite published speculation about another contender -- all signs now point to Meyers taking on the gig. An official announcement is expected as early as this week.

Dane Cook will host the season premiere with musical guest The Killers.

The show is also getting a new director.

I hope they got some good replacements... Parnell was one of the best guys they had.

Sanz is the man, he's probably my favorite from the cast, but that's not saying much.

Sanz sucked. I don't even know why he was on the show.

Parnell was funny though.

Now all they have to do is drop the rest of the cast, the writers and the producers. Then they might have a shot at making it funny again.

SNL sucks so bad I can't stand to even watch it for more than a few mins at a time anymore.

I'll find myself putting it on when nothing else is on and end up just turning off the TV after a few mins every time.

sanz sucks and so does everyone else on the current cast. Older early 90's were the best save for the original of course

I can't believe sanz was on the cast for so many years and didn't even make me grin once. He actually made me angry most of the time.

Anyone who thinks anyone on that show was funny in the past few years needs to re-evaluate their funny bone.

So.....their biggest character now is the goodburger guy? Wow.

Sanz and Parnell were both good supporting cast members back in the Will Ferrell days...never really cut it as leads.

LOL, she was the headwriter while it slid down the crapper. Yeah, big loss.

I doubt it was single handedly her fault. she's semi-funny on her own (and her hotness makes up for the rest, btw, I dig her scar for some reason), but when you're working against soooooo much bad it's an uphill battle.

Sanz SUCKED. Worst SNL actor ever. He couldn't get through a sketch without laughing. Good riddance.

Except that its 11:30pm-1am slot is a slot where no one really even watches TV, SNL has no competition even though it has been going down hill thus it has been able to survive.

There has been some sparks of brilliance though, many of the digital shorts have been pure gold - the Cronic-what-cles of Narnia, the Doppleganger...there's hope.
