I was watching the auction with a minute left, i saw it at 1 minute, 27 seconds, 10 seconds, 0 seconds 🙁

I could have bid but i didn't, cause i trusted those a-holes.

I don't get it, sniping is if you are away from the PC, you seem to be able to bid, so why didn't you?

I didn't plan on being home, but I happened to. Sniping is also good to keep the bidding wars at bay until the last second. If people think they are the only one bidding, they tend to put a lower price. Psychology i guess? I dunno, but its always worked in the past.

Check out http://www.uneedapart.com

When I crashed my miata, the dealer wanted $600 per headlight.
I put my request on uneedapart, I ended up getting the headlights for $200 each plus $50 shipping. Brand new factory OEM.

Thanks i'll give it a shot.

You're a moron. If it was going to end for only $23, why didn't you just put in a bid for $100 with like 15 seconds left? It would have still saved you a fortune.

I'm gonna ignore your personal insult for the time being. I didn't bid because AuctionSniper bids for you, just my luck it went down just as my auction ended.

How was I supposed to know it was going to go down just than? Am i psychic?

Yeah, your methodology was sound, it's just that a freak accident wiped out your bid. Sucks, but that mess happens sometimes -- although it's never happened to me.

I use sniping whenever possible, b/c it doesn't allow others to know that I'm interested in an item, then my bid is automatically placed right before the auction closes.

Sometimes I win, sometimes I don't -- but I put in my maximum bid and don't worry about it until after the auction is over with. I don't have to worry about getting "You have been outbid" notices to bait me to bid higher since my initial bid isn't placed until there are seconds to go.

Then you're the retard who didn't even put in a single lowball bid. The end result is completely justified in this case.

Why would I have any reason to think the site would go down just as my auction ended? Maybe I'm a bit naive in trusting a site to always at least try to bid, but calling me a retard for not bidding myself is a reach.

Um...so you didn't bid, you were just watching as it ran out? You can't outbid yourself, you know. You wouldn't bid twice.

Yea, i know 🙁

I just trusted that it would bid for me with 5 seconds left as it usually does. By the time I realized the site was down, it was already too late.

once one of my auctions closed at $20 more the last second. It was some old granny, I doubt she was fast enough to place that bid.

damn grannies know about snipin'!

The maintenance message you posted said all snipes would be entered before they went offline. Why didn't they enter yours?
