Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army, dumb name, awesome game

So I just spent about 2.5 hours playing Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army, a standalone DLC expansion for Sniper Elite V2. A watered down description would be that it's Sniper Elite V2, but with zombies. It's more than that though, they polished the hell out of this, and it shows. There are at least 4-5 variants on your standard zombies, along with skeletons to boot. All the guns from Sniper Elite V2 carry over into this game, all of the cool toys you get in the main game, the "Unkill Cam" as they like to call it is also there, and it's just as satisfying putting a bullet in a zombie's brainpan in slo-mo as it was living Nazi soldier.

A more apt description might be that the campaign is structured like Left4Dead, but the game itself feels more like the love child of Killing Floor and Resident Evil 4.

If you were on the fence but still enjoy killin' zombies, or if you hadn't heard of this until now like most people I know but still enjoy killin' zombies, I highly recommend it. I'm going back to play for another couple of hours before bed.

Did the original game ever get an option to disable the kill cam and bullet following nonsense?
 
I'm extremely happy to hear that it's good. Was worried that it wouldn't turn out very well. Safe to say that people who enjoyed vanilla Sniper Elite V2, will enjoy Nazi Zombie Army as well?

It's always had that option. You can toggle between "Always", "sometimes", and "never".
 
This game is f****** awesome. I wish I could call off work today and play it all day.

I had mediocre feelings about Sniper Elite V2 but I can't get enough of this.

Played for around 4.5 hours tonight in a 4-player coop game, got up to the Subway to Hell and still wasn't finished, had to take a break. There is a lot of content there for the $9 a pop I paid for the 4-pack. I was thinking it would be 2-3 hours at the most, but man, they really packed it in. Good stuff.
 
I picked it up, will play next week when i have more time off. The original was the only SP game i played though like I was a kid again. You know that feeling, when you got to pee but don't want to get up and go to the restroom you are to into the game. 😀
 
Been playing this for the past couple hours, me and some dude were co-oping the Village map or whatever it's called. Pretty solid fun. Skeletons are a PITA to hit because of how fast they are. Maybe that's just my subpar shooting. 😛

We got pretty far, up until the chapel where a huge wave comes along and destroys us. It took us a long time to get that far, and we didn't even finish it; and that's only one campaign out of many, the rest of the levels I haven't even touched yet.

Feels like a lot of game for $15 (they could've easily sold it for $20 or $30). Looking forward to playing some more.
 
The only thing I don't like is there's no way to save the game even at the checkpoints when quitting the game. My buddy and I were able to get to the end of the first campaign but couldn't beat the elites on "sniper elite" lvl, and we had to restart the entire campaign over again instead of starting at the checkpoints (after quitting the game).

Sorry if it sounds confusing as to what I'm trying to say....

Tons of fun, awesome with the oldschool weapons, and I love how most of the zombies are super slow and clumsy, the way they should be IMO. Not Left For Dead, where they all ran faster than cheetas on redbull.
