Actually, one of the big pushes by the CDC esp during flu season is to have people sneeze into their sleeve rather than their hands. The hand transmission to every day articles is responsible for the majority of viral transmission. Into the shirt collar also works.

What really gets me is people who don't was thier hands after using the can. I see it all the time and what is even more gross is that men or women (my GF tell me all the time about women who use the bathroom and don't wash) who don't wash thier hands then they go touching thier kids faces, giving them candy etc.

people are disgusting, no wonder we are classified as animals.

Some of us were taught at a young age not to pee on our hands.......

i cant stand sneezing into sleeves every since i saw my friend do it like 50 times a day while he was sick. if u looked at the sleeves by the end of the day, they were covered in mucus stains....then he wore the same sweatshirt for the rest of....however long, without washing it. when i sneeze, unless im sick or soemthing, its generally a very dry sneeze, nothing really comes out. im never gonna sneeze on my sleeve, im gonna use my hands, so get used to it. if im sick, and can get to a kleanex before i sneeze, i will.

Well, a certain amount of dirt in our lives is a good thing, because it keeps our immune systems exercised and prevents it from getting bored and giving us allergies.

However, that's no excuse not to wash your hands after using the restroom.

Interestingly studies of bacterial counts from peoples hands after using the bathroom are generally lower than any of the surfaces in the bathroom that includes the facet handles, doorknob and hand towel devices. Recommendation is to get the towel first, then wash hands and use the towel to turn off the water, ( standard hospital hand washing technique) Still though the counts from hands after using the bathroom tend to be far less than those from public doorknobs, telephones etc.

CDC currently is recommending the use of alcohol based hand sanitizers frequent and often.

I do agree that our environment is uniformly too sterile however the primary source of exposure that leads to better immune response is through food. It is our food that is too sterile, natural foods contain many harmless bacteria that our immune systems can use for practice. Without this the virulent pathogens that pass from human to human cannot be countered.

The most important way to prevent transmission is to stay home when you are sick. In america today everyone and their boss thinks that their job is too important. We need to get back to the days of allowing people to stay home when they are sick.

I would help stop the spread of diseases if everyone would just sneezed and coughed into their sleeves.

Oh come on, he's sharing the

You should've said I love you too.
