Seems to be a good price, although this is not that good a player.

Will Staples have a new advertisement coming out this week? I know that they are usually pretty competitive when it comes to hard drive prices. I've been trying to hold out for a few weeks in anticipation that they will have a great deal coming up on an 80GB or 120GB one. I missed the boat on the $50 80GB HD, but am keeping my eyes open for the future.

It still has to be better than my less-than-2-week-old Western Digital "SE" drive that has developed a whine. This has been noted before with the WD "SE" drives in other postings ... and damn if the same issue didn't start to appear with my drive.
