If it's not on sale this week at CC, I'll probably order it from them. If you happen to run across a good or better deal, please post that deal to this thread (or start a new thread). I'll do the same..... thanks!

Do yourself a favor and wait until the weekend. I spoke with the soundcity CSR yesterday about this same system and they said they might be having a 13% sale again this weekend (they have them from time to time). Then it would only be $434 no tax free shipping.

I have a hard time buying the "special Best Buy production run" bit. To me this sounds like nothing more than a clever marketing gimic. Best Buy has sold the Maxtor 120GB Ultra Series drives as low as $99 without rebate, and as low as $149 with $50 mail-in rebate. What better way to make people think they're getting more than they paid for, then by labeling a 120GB harddrive as 100GB with 20GB free! Sounds like a Buy.com "we're giving everyone xx-percent off", after conveniently forgetting to mention they raised their prices the two days prior....

Call me a skeptic, but....

Its a result of special BB production run drives at 100GB. Instead of actually making a 100GB drive, they just give you the 120GB drives "as a free upgrade". Its more or less a product line level form of competition; BB probably offers these drives cheaper than other stores offer the 120GBs or they offer them at the same price as other stores offer the 80GBs. Either way, you'll be more inclined to buy from BB with the option and pricing at 100GB.

Regarding the hard drive, WTF does "100GB + 20GB FREE = 120GB" mean???

It sounds like a supermarket product when you get 40 oz. for the price of 32 oz.

Yes, it is up now when you visit the main page. It started on saturday and will probably end today.
