… and SCROTUS says it's OK to starve America:

The supreme court has issued an emergency order temporarily blocking full Snap food aid payments.

"Shortly after 9.30pm, attorney general Pam Bondi shared a note on X saying that the supreme court 'just granted our administrative stay in this case. Our attorneys will not stop fighting, day and night, to defend and advance President Trump’s agenda.' "

Trump and the Supreme Court are fighting day and night to advance President Trump's agenda of allowing Americans to go hungry.

Just make that and all of the Epstein information the 2026 midterm political ads. If that's not enough to start to unfuck this country, it's too late anyway.

Ok, so IANAL, so maybe someone explain why Justine Brown halted a lower court order.
Will this help get our people fed?

Food stamps: Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson late Friday temporarily halted a lower court order that would have required the Trump administration to fund food stamps in full, fueling new uncertainty around the anti-hunger program’s immediate fate. The justice did not rule on the legality of the White House’s actions. Instead, she imposed a pause meant to give an appeals court more time to weigh the legal arguments raised by the government, as it seeks to withhold funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program during the shutdown. Some states had already said that they were preparing to send out full food stamp benefits.

I think it just has to do with the first circuit appeals - they missed their own ruling deadline.

It's not SCOTUS that is the problem here anyway (at least right now in this case). Trump and cronies are hanging themselves by arguing they should be able to starve people. How fucked up is that argument?

Come on guys. Jesus followers would never advocate feeding the hungry. Get over it.

"Donald Trump refusing to release rainy day funds to feed hungry Americans while he throws lavish parties at Mar-a-Lago and gilds a White House bathroom has nothing to do with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Once again, his position and his actions are anti-Christ."

Mighty white and christen of the majority supreme court.
Justice Brown Jackson issued the temporary stay to give the Appeals Court more time to get their shit together. Pundits are suggesting that Brown Jackson's action was designed to prevent the court conservatives from issuing a permanent stay.

I live in an area that voted 60/40 for the fuhrer, yet when driving by the food bank yesterday didn't see a single red hat in the long ass line. No Gulf of America hat, nothing. Just like we never saw the red hats anymore from the soybean farmers begging for handouts after fuhrer got rid of their #1 buyer. Wear your nazi hat when you beg, fuckers.

I'm reminded of Inglorious Basterds - "how will we know when you hang up the uniform?"

I know from a human psychology perspective, people loathe to admit they were wrong, and it is good to give them a face-saving out, but at the same time, sometimes you should run people's faces in the mud to remind them that they should maybe think just a tiny bit before jumping onto the racist cult train that will rob them blind.

Anyone who claims this isn't to intentionally hurt the poor/disabled/elderly is a full-on cultist.

It's real psycho behavior to be moving heaven and earth to advance construction on the White House and illegally pay soldiers, but then also use those same means to rip food away from hungry people.

Nice. The point, of course isn’t cruelty itself but the conservative’s success in transferin the blame for the cruelty on liberals. That leaves liberals at a hopeless disadvantage because they are left to explain complex logical reality as their natural defense. The experience of cruelty makes people irrational and quick to ascribed blame.

I like the press that acts as credulous stenographers for the Trump administration, but said to the Biden administration that it wasn't their job to report on the good things they were doing.

one of the first things to do when we have power.. make every press organization pay trillions for the damage they caused.

If they can't do their job.. good, go join the unemployment line!

The biggest mistake we can do is think the Press is neutral and innocent. They're not!
