I'm tired of sifting through spam and not doing anything about it. I just decided to send empty envelopes back to the senders. They pay for postage when they receive those envelopes. I figure the $0.39 they get charged per envelope is the least I can do. Besides, if enough people do this, we might see a decrease in spam =)

Has anyone else tried this?

I do it all the time.

If you're getting a lot though, you need to get the credit reporting agencies to stop selling your name/address to anyone who will pay for it.

Somebody posted a link here a long time ago about a guy who would take all those postage free return envelopes, stuff them full of other spam and drop them in the mail.

1. Save your pre-approved credit card response envelopes
2. Stuff them full of Pizza Hut coupons
3. Drop the spam laden packages in the mail
4. ...?
5. Well, there's no profit in it but there might be a bit of smug satisfaction.
