i am suddenly getting large amounts of spam being sent BY my end-to-end SMTP client (i use Mercury Mail www.pmail.com)
that is first not recieved by my SMTP Server.
i have it tight for SMTP relaying. Basicly its off, only mail relayed is mail for local adresses or if out bound it be Autho (matched with a password file)
now the SMTP server reports no activity yet the SMTP client is going off its head trying to find all these address; most being returned, error 554 etc.
any one got some ideas how this happens ???
