My GF got me a hand blender for my birthday. Would love to hear the AT folks' personal favorite smoothie recipes. Cheers.

One of my fav is an Avocado smoothie:
1 avocado
half a cup of condensed milk
3 ice cubes
half a cup of milk

smoothie recipe. Find things you like to eat put them in blender. Blend till smooth. You're welcome.

strawberries + smoothie = strawberry smoothie

Avocado + condensed milk? brings the image of guacomole + milk?

hm.. but u have given me an idea:
frozen mixed berries + condensed milk. saves the trouble of including ice

Our grocery store sells 1 lb bags of frozen mixed fruit. They've got pineapple, mango and strawberry all in one bag. Dump it into the blender, toss in a few chunks of banana and some OJ, blend and you've got a tasty smoothie.

frozen fruit, frozen oj, frozen bananas, you need less ice so it doesn't get so watered down.

Pineapple +
cut up Orange +
yogurt or sherbet +
soy milk +
small amount of ice

it's good, I usually use vanilla soy milk and orange or pineapple sherbert. I hate all berries and bananas so I stick to basic stuff.

Whatever juice you have around (fruit plus some carrot juice if you have some), some fresh fruit, some frozen fruit, some yogurt if you have it. You can add some dried algae or some veggies too. Blend. I don't add ice.

2/3 to 1 cup of Zoi plain yogurt
2 scoops WPI Pure Protein
1 1/2 cups frozen sliced peaches, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, or blueberries. Or a combination of them.
skim milk to desired consistency
sugar to taste

OJ? hm.. never thought of that. always thought of smoothie as milk based. might try that next.

anyway, just got back from Walmart.

14oz can of condensed milk
1lb bag of frozen mixed berries
4 cups of 2% milk

mix in blender = refreshing especially in this heat wave

that condensed milk takes smoothies to a whole other level.
Thx OP!

one frozen banana
one thing of vanilla yogurt
like 5-6 frozen strawberries
couple glugs of orange juice
few cubes of ice

blend away.

that is my mixture.

Yeah, I love condensed milk in smoothies, but it's not really the healthiest thing in the world. Good if you're looking to bulk up though.

just did another batch.

14oz can of condensed milk $1.50
1lb bag of frozen mixed berries $3
4 cups of 2% milk $0.50

$5 for ~50oz of delicious

I'm allergic to milk but still like smoothies. Give it a try though, I've made it for other people and no one has complained yet. They said it has a stronger fruit flavor without milk products.
