Most people who smoke pot smoke it once or twice a day a couple hits at a time. Not chain smoking 2-3 packs a day.

I think some states have passed taxes on bulk tobacco and such just because people were using them to avoid the insanely high taxes on pre-made product.

Yeah. For a while here there were "smoke shops" opening up that you basically paid $$ to sit at a rolling machine rolling your own cigarettes. But I think a single carton's worth of tobacco + papers + filters was around $15. Then the state put a stop to that.

Or that hemp is an incredibly resilient and renewable resource and could provide numerous commercial benefits from packaging to clothing?

There's sort of a loop hole here in Virginia that mommy Gov. hasn't yet found out about. Bulk cigarette tobacco tax was increased, but bulk *pipe* tobacco was not. So a pound of cigarette tobacco is apox. $30, whereas a pound of pipe tobacco is $12. It's all in the labeling.:sneaky:

Same loop hole everywhere. It's the Federal govt. that upped the tax on RYO, not the state.

There's some kind of correlation in decreased risk of dementia or Alzheimer's or something, IIRC... y'know, assuming you live long enough after decades of smoking.
I agree though, however much he's smoking, if he increases it, it will surely correspondingly increase his machismo/bad-assness factor by 110%

I was taken back by a woman in a nursing home who smoked. The staff would unhook her oxygen from her wheelchair, then she'd wheel herself outside to smoke. Well the staff didn't want an explosion, right? No smoking was of course permitted indoors. She looked like she was 80 yo, but I think she was actually 60 yo. After one cigarette, she'd wheel herself inside. The oxygen tank would be hooked back on her wheelchair, and they'd help her with nose hose.

And there was a guy who was admitted on rehab. He had a rolling machine and a big bag of tobacco. No filters that I saw. He distributed (sold?) cigarettes to residents and others in rehab. Everyone of whom were in wheelchairs. What a sight to see!

I'm registered as republican but I don't vote that way frequently. Just haven't bothered to change my affiliation... not sure what I'd change it to quite frankly. Independent I guess.

I smoke. Since 1982. Never went to a pack a day. I smoke maybe 5 a day. I enjoy it and can go very long stretches without a smoke. I don't dig the effects of weed. I don't mind weed smokers, I just hate the smell and have asked people to leave either my office or home if they reek like weed. I wish weeders just ate the shit instead of smoking it.
