Outpost rebates need always to be scrutinized. They make way too many mistakes for them all to be accidental.

I edited the OP with a link to a current rebate. Thanks!

is the cable long enough to be put into a p180 case?

I have an X-Connect in my 180...the cables work, but they don't make for a great mod. I ended up buying wire, connectors and sleeving to mod my own cables for it. The issue is that the x cables are really thick and are hard to deal with, especially when connecting them into the PS. I also had to get fan grills for the lower fan.

$15 for an X-Connect? No, sorry, doesn't work like that. You need to factor in the cost of your motherboard, because there's a good chance you'll be buying a new one if you use this power supply. Buyer beware.

(I learned the hard way.)

It's ran fine for multiple people that bought this PSU on this forum, AND it comes with a lifetime warranty if you register on their site within 30 days.

X-Connects smoke alright... 😉

Not to thread-crap, just make sure you read several reviews on this brand...

Very good power supply for $15. Just get a new one if it burns out rather than warranty replacement.

My buddy, my brother and I all have x-connects and they have run good for us. We have run into a couple probs with them though. One was the uv light inside our windowed ones died and the second one was that my psu died. I was able to warranty replace it but it was hell getting it done. I actually had to contact my lawyer at one point. Its a good power supply but just hope you dont have to use the warranty. Ultra has some very shady business practices. I know a lot of you have heard bad things about Tiger Direct and try to stay away from them. TD is one of Ultra's "resellers" and thats where everything went to crap with the warranty return. They never informed me that TD was the place I would be getting my new PSU from. I would have told them to use a dif company. needless to say there were three seperate fraudulant charges that we had to call the bank and stop from going through and their customer service asst manager changed account info to hide their actions. I have all the proof saved on paper in case they try anything in the future. Once this one goes bad, I plan on going with a different manufacturer that has nothing to do with Ultra or TD.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

Good PSU - Very good deal for $15
Shady Company
Even more shady customer service managers

You can PM me if ya want any further info our the troubles I had with the warranty replacement.

Reliability. For the money a sparkle, fortron would be much better.
Xconnect is a gimmicky psu with poor components.

Ultra XConnect is a good PSU if:

You like the sound of a jet engine coming out of your computer!

You like the smell of a plastics factory coming out of your computer!

You like wrestling with alligator tough modular cables that don't seem to ever want to go where you want them to go.

Aside from that they are great.

No offense meant to the OP.
