Man, somebody help me decide what carrier to go with? I was thinking verizon since they seem to offer the best coverage in Ohio(where I am at), but they are pretty expensive. I was planning on getting a family plan for me and my fiance. The phones won't be used too much, but enough that prepaid is not an option. I just can't see paying 70.00 bucks a month(49.99 for like 400 minutes+20 for the second line) for the limited usage we will get out of the phones.

Main useage would be in Columbus, OH probablly between ourselves, as well as friends and family. But it would also get moderate usage in Fremont, OH( in between Toledo and Sandusky). Those 2 areas are covered by most carriers, but very few offer complete coverage for the entire route to and from those locations. ANy ideas from Ohio residents, or anyone else is appreciated.

In my experience (~6 years w/ mobile phones), at least here in the So-Cal area, Verizon is by far the best. They cost a bit more and don't offer some features like "first minute free" or rollover bonuses, but the coverage is great. Most of my friends that didn't have Verizon when I met them have since switched over... I got tired of them saying "Dude your phone cut out" when it was always their phone w/ AT&T, Cingular, etc.

Called a couple Verizon stores in SoCal, and their offer for the LG6000 is $80 after mail-in rebate and 2 year contract. :disgust:

Might want to put "in Wisconsin and Illinois" in your topic title.

Oh sure. I was just in Madison this Saturday. They only have locations listed for Peoria, Springfield, and Madison.

Before I make a mad dash back to Madison, would you be able to give the low down on the details of this? I currently have Verizon and was going to upgrade the phone in March.

Is this only for new people or what? Any details would be appreciated.
