Frys has the Polk RTi12 at $299 each. They also have the RTi10 for $189/each. These are one of the best speakers under $1500.

These are a great deal and even more heavily discounted than normal...however; these are no where near the best for under $1500. Also they are not very efficient and call for a minimum of 50WRMS.

It's a smoking hot deal though. Just know the speakers can be very subjective.

The 10s are a better deal at $189. But yes, Polk speakers are kinda bleh. More marketed than performance. But they are still better than some of the other crap out there. The RTi series holds pretty well at this value.

You cannot get a better pair of HT speakers for $600. You could always spend a lot more, but if you want to spend $600 max, this is smoking hot. That said, if your focus is music, you might want to consider something else.

You can still get them shipped. You just have to do it one at a time. It says the shopping cart exceeds the weight limit for shipping. Also it looks like free shipping.

anyone know if this is obtainable anywhere? A good friend called tonight with a $1k budget for his center and mains that died somehow last week (they were 10+ years old).

I have a HTAV thread already so I don't want to make this a discussion, but I am recommending the $399 Cherry RF-62 II's at Crutchfield and a RC-62 for $549 there which is 35% out of his budget. He was already asking about Polk TSX550T towers prior to this.

The Fry's deal is dead, but Polk's Ebay store (NOT an auction -- actual sales from the manufacturer) usually has very good prices on a variety of new and refurb speakers. He should check it out.

Just ordered my Polk Rti12 for $329 per speaker @frys.com so I am paying a bit more, but am still saving over$140/pair compared to the next best deal I could find ($799/pair @ Polk's eBay store)
