SMOKING! Logitech Z340 Speakers @ Staples - $15!

I ordered a set today using the $15 off $30 coupon to replace my Yamaha 3pc. set. Has anyone recieved theirs yet? How do they sound?

they sound OK. For $15 you can't go wrong. The sound quality is a little worse than that of my AL 4.1 (non-digital)...but ofcourse those are 4.1 and these are 2.1. Base is nice, but directional...speaker pointing outward. It's been said already that better quality can be achieved by pointing the woofer downward...you can take 4 smal stands and lay this thing on its side (pointing down) and it'll sound better than if you just have it pointing outward.

I just talked to a very nice lady rep. from Staples and she said that it was not showing that the product was "discontinued" so she said that they should be back in stock within the next five to seven days. I will keep checking back every day this week.

Does she have an Soundblaster? There should be lots of stuff about that in hardware.
Otherwise tell her to turn the base down a little .

Yes, she has the Sound Blaster Live! 5.1. Is there a known issue with the SB Live 5.1 and these speakers?

I ordered this last week and the speakers were supposed to come today. I checked my ups shipping number and it stated that it was already delivered and placed by the backdoor. I was home the entire day and the speakers are nowhere to be found. So I called UPS and they basically told me to wait and they will call me back in a day or two. I then called staples and they said they will send UPS an urgent note. Is there anything else I can do about this? If it really is lost am I out of luck? Thanks in advance.

Are these Logitech 2.1 Z-340 better or are the Altec Lansing 2.1 ATP3 better if you were not considering the price difference on them? I am thinking about which one I should get and which one sounds better. Any help would be appreciated.

Personally just looking at the spec, I think logitech is better. Because output power of z340 > ATP3.
Any owner of the items can comment on it?
