Smoking Hot i7 920 $199.99 @ Microcenter B&M (1 day only)

Showing as $199 once I select a store.

Shoot. I wanted to get a Phenom II to mess around with, but now I think I'm obligated to go the i7 route.

I still need cheap DDR3 and MOBO though... hmmm

Damn, and I was going to wait until they had confirmed D0 stepping in. I guess I'll stop by at lunch and see what they have. 🙂 Worst case I buy a C0 and wait a few days to see if they get some D0 in while the mobo and RAM get in. Does anyone know the confirmed S-SPEC for D0?

i think D0 is nothing new from late C0, both run a little bit cooler and at a little bit lower Vcore compared to early c0, that's it. Not worthy to waiting for D0 if you can find late C0.

I just ordered one for in store pickup, I got the P6T on sale too for $229 also. Just have to wait for my $40 DDR3 from amazon to come in and I have a nice i7 system for pretty cheap.

The Antec nine hundred for $80 and Hitachi 1TB for $80 are good deals too

Holy crap these are going fast. I was going to wait until lunch and just hand-pick mine, but I just checked again and there was only 10 in stock from 32 when I checked in my OP at around 8:30am. Bought one online just to make sure I get one, I'm actually hoping they run out and I get a rain-check for when they get some D0's in. 😉

I had bought one at MC for 238.05 (incl. tax) on Sunday so I swung back on my lunch break and had them adjust the price. Total was 207.00 :-D

(Certain sections of NJ have only 3.5% tax, half the normal 7%)

Arrghh... You guys are killing me... lol. I guess I'm jumping to i7 little sooner than I thought.. 🙂

Picked mine up a bit ago, they were all sold out by Noon and by the time I got there only 6 left, all spoken for through online orders. They're all SLBCH, which is C0 stepping. I looked through the rest, no D0 which will be SLBEJ S-Spec when they finally hit the channel.

My batch # is 3842A567 which appears to be a pretty nice OC'ing batch, with some reports of 4GHz+ on air. 🙂 I also picked up a P6T for $230 as well and a kit of Corsair 6GB PC12800 for $82 AR. Looked to be a good mix of speed and latency for the price, as I didn't have much time to research the (un)importance of RAM speed. I plan to add a 2nd kit as well when the rebate refreshes.

Awesome deal, thanks for the post OP! Now I have to decide whether or not I want to wait for a D0 i7 or just roll the dice on this C0.

They also show a corsair 750W PSU for $109 after rebate, but the egg has it today $20 cheaper and FS
(which I would say is hot)

damn no one wants to price match, newegg only offered 30 off. and my in store order was cancelled. sigh..
