I've been kinda watching these deals, too. I have FC but still want to play HL. Anyway, I just checked it out and the price for the OEM 3200+ 939 is still high at $190. I think I'll give it some more time. Thanks for the reminder again, though.

I got a combo from them in late Dec when the A8N SLI was $$$ (but the 3500+ was $254). I got my memory from them at the same time. Everything arrived already assembled and tested. Just dropped it into a new case, plugged in the periphs, and it booted right up. Excellent packaging and prompt shipping. No complaints at all.

The Far Cry came on DVD, but the HL2 is a Steam d/l. I don't know if you can get a HL2 CD/DVD instead. I haven't tried it yet -- too busy catching up on old games I couldn't play, like KotOR. 🙂

IIRC, monarch raises their prices during the week and then lowers them during the weekend. As much as I want to make my entire computer myself, I think im going to have to get this. $70 worth of games is too much to turn down 🙂.

Also that is the exact combo I got from them a week ago. I'm still waiting for my pci-e card. That is currently the best bang for the buck combo for ocers imo. Another $30 will get you SLI mobo and the $30 -$50 less expensive boards don't usually oc as well.

Is the mobo RETAIL, as in come with box and all cables and manual and partc, etc???????

im about to order this thang.
 
The DFI nf4 I got was. I asked them not to test it so the cpu came sealed and the mobo came in a retail box.

When I got my A8N, they put the mobo back in the Asus retail box with the memory, CPU, and HSF installed on it. It all fit OK, and all the parts of the mobo kit were there. They shipped it that way, and all was well. Of course, if you get a big HSF with it, it won't fit. I got a cheap one, since I'll be switching to watercooling soon.

And if you want everything in a sealed box, tell them not to test.
 
I bought a 3000+ and the Gigabyte K8NS a while back. Great deal, but I must say Monarch's service was horrible. They took almost 2 weeks to ship the damn thing. I'm sure their service is usually better, but I was pretty disappointed.

The Napster thing isn't that great. When you go to sign up apparently it's good for only about 8 downloads.

Do they still send you the retail CPU's box with it though? Or do they just chuck it. I'm just wondering for future warranty reasons and whatnot.

Sooo tempted to get this right now, I think I'm basically just debating whether to self assemble or let them do it.

Why oh why is the Neo2 $20 more than the Neo4 platinum?!
 
This is a BIG YMMV on the games. Bought one of these combo deals two weeks ago and the HL2 coupon was in the box but the FC and Napster promotions were not.

Since then I have emailed there support asking for them, with no response. I am seriously thinking about filling out the on-line survey for Monarch and make it known. This was my first ever order from Monarch, and most likely the last.

It would be one thing to get a response but after three attempts to contact them with no reply is unacceptable for a company that gets such rave reviews.

I am not calling them, they took my money just fine over the Internet, they send me junk emails twice a week. And they have requested I fill out an on-line survey through email. They can either pony up what they said was in stock at the time of my order (which was the only reason I ordered from them) or I will fill out all the on-line surveys with a less than satisfactory rating.

Which BTW if you waited a couple of months and had to pester them over the phone for your coupon should be doing the same. Just makes me think about the two or three I saw in this thread alone say they would order because of the free games. That is a huge YMMV no doubt about it.
