Smoking beef jerky deal - and it's permanent!

You probably know Oberto brand processed meat products from your supermarket. Well, they have an online factory outlet store, with some incredible prices on bags of beef jerky "ends and pieces" and shreds for soup. Tastes the same as the full strips, and for as little as $3.00/lb. + UPS.

I bought 4 lbs. of "Teriyaki Jerky Special Ends & Pieces" for $23.95 shipped, and am happily chawing away.

I tried the jerky at Costco and could not eat it. Had a strange taste to it.

Will have to try the Obertos E&P though. Thanks OP.

I'm not real hot on the Costco jerky either.

Sam's, however, carries Jacklinks brand which is a different story. You get me going on a bag of their pepper jerky and it will be empty before I stop.

Oberto is THE WORST jerky there is. I can only imagine how poor their scrag ends are. - Shudder! -

Great prices, but shipping costs really cool this off a bit.

$10 shipping on a 5lb $15 order.

$8.72 shipping on a 2lb $10 order.

Okay. I eat beef jerky a lot. Here's my observations:

Oberto sucks.

Jack Links used to be really good, but now every time I buy their stuff, 50% of it is too dry to be enjoyable.

Theres a brand carried by target called "Bridgeford" I think. That stuff is awesome, and never dry. It's a little cheaper than the Jack Links too. About $4 for a 4 ounce bag.

agreed, jack links used to be good, but they are too dry now, I only buy their nuggets, still nice and tender. anyway, I got on this deal and got 2lbs of beef jerky and a bunch of the .9-1oz bag for ~50 cents each + shipping, they are the same ones they sell at the vending machine for $1.50each at work, I can probably sell these to my coworkers for a buck-$1.25 each. 😉
