You do realize that is an estimate. A loose one at that.

You do also realize that harm from ETS is totally dependent on frequency and amount. All the studies only found harm in daily high concentration exposures, such as living with or working with heavy smokers.

You are not going to get hurt from the occasional faint smell of smoke unless you have severe asthma or allergies.

You should follow the advice I gave you in my previous post.

I've seen it all the time not just in college at other buildings. what's even stupider, they put the sand thingys about 5-10 feet from the door. even though their's a sign that's says 20 ft from building. You'd think if they say 20 feet is the distance required they'd put the sand thing 20 feet away.. smoker will just smoke around where the sand thingy is.
 
Its people like you and your crusade against smokers... thats keeping are borders open to all the illegals crossing. There are far more concerning things then smoking in PUBLIC. California is assbackwards!

Did you ever think the receptacles are placed near the door so smokers walking in will use them rather than throw their butts on the ground? A smoker walking toward an entrance is not going to go 20+ feet out of their way to trash their butt, but they are far more likely to trash it if the receptacle is along the way.

The only stupidity here comes from those who don't even try to think why things are the way they are.
