Yes, $19.94 is the new clearance price - they have about 10 at the Target in my town so I'm waiting for them to go down even cheaper. I've been watching it since they were about $32. Every week it drops another $5. Original price is $39.99. And yes, this is a HP brand.....

Yes, these are made by HP. Do not expect anything extraordinary, but for basic printing like kid's school projects it should suffice.

Saw 3 of these (USB version) at my local Target (Orland Park, IL) yesterday. Not a bad price for a 600x300 dpi, 7 ppm printer. Black ink cartridge cost the same as the printer. :Q

They have a bunch (~10) at the target in Eau Caire, WI plus they're an additional 15% off, so that takes it down in the neighborhood of $16. My dad has one of these and like AnyMal said don't expect any thing extraordinary, but they do a reasonable job.

FWIW my sister used to work at Target and told me when a clearance price ends in 4 (ie 19.94) that's as far as they intend to mark an item down. She only worked there for a few months so take it with a grain of salt.

I've checked all of the tags on my target clearance collection, and discovered that when a price ends in 4, it has been marked down 75%. Generally speaking, that's about how low things go before someone is sure to buy it. I have purchased clearance items at target in the past that were 90% off, but it seems rare. One other thing worth checking: always take the clearance item to a price scanner; very often i find that it is actually marked down further than the sticker indicates. In other words, sometimes prices drop before anyone put on the new price tags. Good luck!

LOL I'm a scanner hog, when (not often) I go to Target, I use that scanner a hundred times. Thinkin' maybe i'll find a mispriced item, but it hasn't been my 'lucky day' in a long time.

That used to be true but not anymore.

Again, this used to be true. For awhile now Target has been ending prices in 4 when they're only 15% or 30% off. The items do go lower but it makes me wonder if they've caught on to us shoppers who look for prices ending in 4.

The printers are 50% off now. It's anybodies guess if they'll go 75%. Lately alot of items never get marked below 50% off.

They're not rebadged HP's. Apollo is owned by HP. Apollo is basically a budget HP printer. Don't expect good quality printing from these.

I have one of these exact printers on my basement system, They work fairly well and use HP inkcarts that go kinda cheap on ebay.
Worth $20.00 for a second system.

You need to get up off your butt and go to Target yourself . :)
If you call Target and they figure out something is at a Hot Price it will be instantly "Out Of Stock" ........... "Sorry"

Believe me Ive seen Target employees make out like bandits from clearance (as they should for the wages ) . If they know of a deal it's as good as gone , they will hold them for other employees , etc.
They may say they can't hold and stuff but everyone knows they do . Good Luck .

Still $20 at my local target. The thing that's hot about these is that they include a USB cable. You have to figure that alone is worth $5. Then there is a print cart, HP #49? That's another $5-10. I'm sure the printer itself isn't stellar, but still seems hot, especially if you just use it for printer class reports as I do.

Bout 8 left at my target, I think I might wait one more week to see if they drop a little more, then I'm going to grab one as I currently do not have a printer.

They're total junk. We used to sell these, didn't have to worry about carrying replacement ink carts because they usually broke before the ink ran out. Print quality is horrible.

They're just disposable printers. Or you could just donate them to Goodwill or send them to the Third World when they run out of ink.
