Smokin!!! Kodak V1073 10MP at B&M OD - $75 AR!!!

Stopped at my local Office Depot in Royal Oak, MI after dinner tonight....

Cruising the digital cam section, I stumbled across Kodak's V1073 10MP pocket cam on display for $149.91 minus a $75 rebate. Holy crap! I was on it like a hobo on a ham sandwich.

The OD website lists the V1073 at 199.98 and no rebate, so I don't know if this is just a B&M deal or what, but the register printed out the $75 rebate form no problem and charged me $150 for the cam.

The V1073 model on special was completely flat black, rather than the black and silver usually found in the wild. I think it looks cool...kinda Darth Vaderish.

PRO: Takes very good pix, 3 inch touch sensitive LCD is a little touchy but slick, nice compact size. 32MB memory built in in case you fill up your SD card. Anti-blur, image stabilization, simple minimalist design.

CONS: No optical viewfinder, weird supplied dongle required to hook up USB (DON'T LOSE IT!), advertised "HD Movie Capture" mode has compatibility and quality issues. User guide bites.

Hope the same deal is available at your local OD.

Cheers,
Slime

Awesome price. I was just about to check when my local OD opens and grab one for my dad but after this review, I decided not to. Between not being able to see the LCD outdoors (forgivable if it had a viewfinder but it doesn't), poor capture time and serious JPEG artifacting I think I'll pass.
