Okay...now I'm having a weird problem with my handset...I bought the headset to go with it (why not?!)...I plugged it in, it worked fine...the phone said "Audio Device Connected," or some such thing...but now, even though I disconnected the headset, it still thinks the headset is connected...I can't get any sound through the handset without the headset plugged into it??!!!

Anyone else have/fix this problem?

wuts up...yea i meant handsets. i just returned it after posting the info. As far as i can tell they still have alot of the handsets in the store. They cant sell em cause noone has the damn base. Anyone willing to sell their base..>=)

Thanks for heads up. I just got one $29.22 and additional hand set $19.22 then i got stickers $3.99 for over $50 then i used coupon $10 off $50 ( they don't let me use $15 off $50). I pay $45 for total. They still got 3 left( ask for it because no display) in South Sacramento store ( next to costco). I haven't tried it yet but it's pretty nice unit for helllllllllllllla cheap priced. Good luck to all ..........

I made my call out to (775) 829-2582 (lynneblack's post), and at the same time someone else was on the line to pick up all 4..I beat that other person to 1 of the 4, the other person got 3. I just got off with them though, and they are unable ship it out to my area. So, whoever was gonna nab that last one can pick it up. There is one more left to anyone who can get it.

Wei2Cool, I went to the Addison store this morning and they told me there were 5 at the Forest/LBJ. I went straight there and even though the computer still said they were there, they could not find them in stock. They told me there was one in Irving and one in Arlington. I asked if they were probably the display, and he said they could not be since the displays were not working units. They called the two stores and asked them to do a physical check, but neither one was there. Sounds like you beat me to the last one.

That's their routine story at some stores, but that's where you get the store manager involved and if that doesn't work put a corporate representative (keep calling back until you find a responsive one) into the mix. If you push hard enough they usually agree to do it regardless what their normal store policy states. The best option (free) is to have them ship it to a local store as an inter-store transger. Good luck...

I have had a base station for some time. Its a pretty sweet little phone. If any one can get some handsets, I would be willing to buy a couple. I dont know why theyre discontinuing them, but it kinda sucks that I cant buy any more handsets for my system.

Just cleaned out South Carolina, only had 3 in the entire state. Note that if you find a nice manager at a store that is too far away for you to drive to, they can bill your credit card over the phone and ship it to you since they are authorized UPS shippers. I will have my 3 basestations Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. I am gonna trade one base station for two (2) handsets. Email me at davidwhitley@mindspring.com if you are interested. I asked them to check for handsets and the only ones in the SouthEast are in Florida.

I went into my local OD in Alhambra, CA and talked to a clerk. He said, "Yeah, we've already sold the only one we had. Some guy called us right when we opened and reserved it." The clerk went on to say that this guy called *every* OD in Southern CA and "cornered the market on them." He said the guy was apparently "quite proud of himself."

Yeah, I would say Southern CA seems to be completely out of these phones. I've checked most southern Orange County OD's. Oh well... it would have made a neat toy, but I'm not sad.
